DEC MicroJet Series - The New Generation of Micronizing Technology
DEC MicroJet 10 - The world's smallest fully functioning jet mill
With the launch of the DEC MicroJet 10, developed with Jetpharma technology, our R&D jet mill range has been completed. The new mills will be sold alongside the existing range of MC jet mills which fill a more generalist role. The new mill is specifically targeted at today's difficult products and those requiring both nano particles and very tight particle size distribution.

This specific model is puposely construed for NCE (New Chemical Entity) development and can micronize nano quantities of between 50 - 1500 milligrams. The DEC MicroJet 10 is the first in a series of re-engineered jet mills that have been distinctively designed for hard-to-handle products. Its release marks the start of that development process.
The range of mills (up to DEC MicroJet 200 scale) has been fully tested with both active and non-active compounds which has proved with the revolutionary concept and demonstrates their ability to greatly enhance the manipulation of the particle size curve.
The new design is fully scalable throughout the new range, as it is in the existing MC range of jet mills. However, with the more difficult products better yields have been produced with lower gas consumption and longer product residence time. This allows for increased classification and narrowing of the particle size band producing more usable material for today's high cost products.
The use of "Smooth Flow Technology" enables reduced turbulence in the mill and spreading the energy, thus improving the product path. Also, the monoblock design allows for single pass technology, meaning there is now no need to re-pass material through the jet mill to reduce the particle size reduction.
The DEC MicroJet series is a breakthrough in understanding and performance. This innovative achievement, developed through extensive use of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) Engineering, is part of the new 4th Generation of Micronizing Equipment developed by Dec.
Unlike other micronizing technologies, this particular series also features the revolutionary "Rota Feed System" and innovative inbuilt venturi feed nozzle which conveys the product directly into the DEC MicroJet 10.
Further benefits include the ability for users with the old series MCOne to use the new DEC MicroJet 10 in the existing MCOne chassis reducing parts and cost.
The remainder of the DEC MicroJet series (models 25 through to 400) will be available by end 2012.
