Big Bag Filling

 

The DCS Drum Containment System, a stainless steel cylindrical glove box with glass cover and with two glove ports, provides fully contained, safe and accurate big bag filling. A PTS (or discharge hopper with PTS if appropriate) is placed above the DCS through a flexible sleeve, with the product being transferred contained by a glove box placed directly onto the big bag.

The DCS is mounted on a pneumatic lifting column with a pneumatic brake mechanism, to make it safe even in case of pressure supply failure. Control panels are on each side of the DCS, one of which lifts and lowers the frame support, the other with a lift enable button and a switch for the inflatable gasket. To lift or lower the frame support and drum, one must press the appropriate button and release the pneumatic brake.

The base frame of the DCS can be installed on a load scale connected to the weighing system, or on four adjustable legs, if preferred. Ventilation can be basic or filtered, or the process can be carried out in an inert environment.

Dec's UniDock System* allows the simplified charging and discharging of big bags, whilst ensuring a high containment level (OEB 4), efficiency and a reliable operation.

It was specifically designed for solvent-moist products and is compatible with standard FIBCs. A protection sleeve excludes any contact with the product. With minimal cleaning efforts, the UniDock System combines essential advantages for the use of big bag filling and emptying tasks.
